Basic Concept for the Selection of the Heater Capacity

Important Notice
1) For the smooth circulation by convection there should be 50 mm spacing over the heater itself.
2) Keep the spacing separated mini 10 mm from the side wall and 35 mm from the plastic components.
3) The space heater shall be installed under the components, which are necessary to be protected as far as possible. |

1.Surface Area of Panel Board A cm2
The surface area can be calculated by the following formula as shown below. |

Calculation Formula of Heater Capacity
Necessary Heater Capacity: Q= AX⊿TXK
|

Example of Calculation |
Panel Board: Steel plate W: 600 mm, H: 1600 mm, D: 600mm
Ambient temperature condition:Open air temperature: 5℃, Inside panel board temperature: 15℃
Q=AX⊿TXK=3.24(m2)X10(℃)X5.5(W/m2・K)=178.2
Therefore the heater capacity, 200 W is required for the space heater. |

①Central point of the upper surface of the protection cover
② Central point of the side surface of the protection cover
③ Central point of the panel board at the space heater attached
④ Central point of the protection cover at the opposite side to the terminal attached side of the space heater
